Terms for Organisations Selling Data
Additional terms for client organisations that publish and monetise anonymised datasets.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply in addition to the general Terms & Conditions and to any order or subscription agreement, and are for client organisations (“you”) that publish anonymised datasets to the Consenta marketplace for licensing to buyers.
2. Legal basis & consent
- You confirm you have a valid lawful basis to process the underlying data and to make anonymised datasets derived from it available for re-use.
- You will only include records for patients who have granted active consent for the relevant cohort, and you will honour withdrawals promptly by excluding those records from future snapshots.
- You will run anonymisation using the on-premises engine so that identifiable data never leaves your environment.
3. Data quality & anonymisation
You are responsible for the accuracy and quality of the cohorts you define and the datasets you publish. Each published snapshot must pass the platform’s risk assessment and meet the configured re-identification risk threshold and k-anonymity value before it can be approved for sale.
4. Approval & listing
Published snapshots enter a quarantine state and are reviewed by Consenta before they appear in the marketplace. Consenta may decline to list, or may remove, any dataset that does not meet platform, legal or ethical standards.
5. Payment & revenue distribution
When a buyer licenses one of your datasets, the buyer pays the full amount into the central Consenta Wallet. The wallet then automatically distributes the proceeds:
- a patient share, split between the patients who consented to the relevant cohort and paid into their earnings wallets;
- your organisation’s share, credited to your organisation wallet;
- the Consenta platform fee.
The exact percentages are set in your agreement and reflected in the platform’s revenue configuration. Every distribution is written to an auditable ledger and backed by a tamper-evident proof.
6. Licensing & permitted use
Datasets are licensed to buyers on the terms attached to each listing. You grant Consenta the rights necessary to market, license and deliver your anonymised datasets to buyers and to distribute the associated revenue.
7. Warranties & responsibilities
You warrant that you have the right to publish each dataset, that consent is valid and current, and that publication does not infringe the rights of any third party or breach any law or regulation applicable to you.
